Win a copy of 'Woodstock - 3 Days of Peace And Music'
18/06/2009
The three-day Woodstock music festival in 1969 was the pivotal event of the 1960's peace movement, and the Best Documentary Oscar(TM) winning film 'Woodstock - 3 Days of Peace And Music' (1970) is the definitive record of that milestone of rock n' roll history. Warner Home Video is pouring on the love for Woodstock's 40th anniversary this summer, packing in two hours of never-before-released footage into its 15th June 2009 4 Disc DVD and 2 Disc Blu-ray(TM) special edition.
Chronicling more than just the hippie movement of the era, 'Woodstock - 3 Days of Peace And Music' is a film of genuine historical and social importance, capturing the spirit of America in transition. Not only will this special 40th Anniversary Edition benefit from new high definition picture quality and remastered 5.1 audio, but amazingly filmmakers have unearthed eight hours of previously hidden footage, and have chosen the best two hours of vintage interviews and performances for this release.
In edition to a brand-new 50 minute documentary 'The '60s and the Woodstock Generation', new performance material from 13 acts spans Joan Baez, Country Joe McDonald, Santana, The Who and Jefferson Airplane amongst others. Five of the acts now included, Paul Butterfield, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Grateful Dead, Johnny Winter and Mountain have never appeared in any film version of Woodstock.
The DVD is released by Warner Home Video on 15th June
Mature Times has 5 copies of the DVD to give away. For the chance to win a copy, just answer the following question.
