Enjoy the autumn with a Friendship Walk

Step up to beat breast cancer with the annual Autumn Friendship Walk on Sunday 5 October, at RHS Garden, Wisley in Surrey.

For the first time, the 5k walk will take place at this stunning location where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the gardens with friends and family, while raising money for breast cancer research.

For a second year running, TV soap actress, Laurie Brett, is a Walking Ambassador for Campaign and will be starting the walk in Surrey. She said: “My mother, Anne, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997 and like many women now, has thankfully survived. The support of fundraisers taking part in events like Friendship Walks allows Breast Cancer Campaign to continue funding research into this disease to ensure that one day, a diagnosis of breast cancer is always a survivable one.”

Mole Valley MP, Sir Paul Beresford, fully supports Laurie and her fellow walkers this autumn. He said: “I am delighted to support Breast Cancer Campaign’s Autumn Friendship Walk in RHS Garden, Wisley. I hope everyone involved has a very enjoyable day and money is raised to help Breast Cancer Campaign continue researching the cure for breast cancer. This is an important cause and a walk in one of the best gardens in the UK.”

Registration is £10 for adults, no charge for children and everyone is encouraged to wear pink to mark October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
